Packet8 is a respected 20 year old telecommunications company that introduced its internet phone service (VOIP) in 2002. They are a publicly traded company that is in the VOIP business for the long haul. We have found Packet 8 voice quality to be slightly inconsistent in our tests. HORRIBLE SERVCE. I don�t know what happened to this company. We have used them for 3 different lines for over 3 years and have had a great experience. Then about 6 months ago we started dropping calls like crazy. Now we drop calls almost every day. Even our calls to packet8 about the dropped calls turn into drop calls. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. Stay away. Get your act together packet8!!!!!!!!

Hidden fees all over the place. I went with packet when sunrocket went belly up. I wished I never would have. The service has sucked in every respect. I wouldn�t wish my worst enemies to have these guys. If I call their tech support and can�t understand a darn thing they say. I wish sunrocket was still around. They were a great company all around. I�m going to cancel my packet service and signup with someone new this week.

I picked up Packet 8 at Office Depot and then took it back a few days later. The voice quality was unacceptable. After we got everything hooked up I started making some calls for our next tours. I dropped the first call and then got a complaint from a customer that he could here an echo on the second call. This looks very unprofessional. The pricing was low, features fantastic, but quality was poor. Don�t recommend these guys.

I switched from my verizon phone to packet 8 thinking I was going to be able to call home for great deal. It was great deal but now they keep adding more fees and phone opperation is not very functional. Some time hard to understands othes and dont think it is good company to replace home phone.
